Inner Peace, Inner Power
28/06/2013 - 01/07/2013 19:00 - 14:00

Rediscovering deep inner peace, increasing personal power and ...
People learn to meditate for a variety of reasons. For many it is simply a desire for inner peace,
for others it is part of their quest for truth and understanding, and for some it is the hope of
discovering the holy grail of happiness. Meditation can satisfy each of these desires.
Meditation helps us to experience the unlimited nature of our minds, which is only possible
when we become free of uncontrolled mental chatter. In the process of freeing ourselves from
inner noise, we come to understand more deeply the relationship between our conscious mind
and unconscious mind. It becomes easier to control our emotions and our intuitive capacity is
enhanced. A quiet mind brings improved levels of contentment, concentration, creativity and
communication. These, in turn, are the foundations of both our personal well- being and our
harmonious relationships with others.
The deepest impact of meditation is on our spiritual growth. Beyond the surface definitions
which we tend to give ourselves and others, we are essentially spiritual beings. Meditation
reconnects us with our true spirituality, resulting in deep inner peace, increased personal power
and a clearer sense of purpose.

Refill, Re-use, Recycle - looking after our inner world
14/07/2013 15:00 - 17:00
The eco-friendly message is to ‘refill, re-use and recycle’ products as much as possible. Without realising, we can fall into the trap of also doing the same with thoughts and situations, where in fact what we are retaining is wasteful or even toxic.
In this workshop, we explore how we can to look after our inner spiritual world so that it keeps us clean, energised and happy, by knowing how to ‘refill, re-use, recycle’ in the right way.

Choose, Change, Become
20/07/2013 10:00 - 16:00

An opportunity to take ‘time out’ with like minded people who are interested in self exploration and who wish to develop their meditation practice.
We seldom get the opportunity to take ourselvs off 'autopilot' and to 'tune in' to the internal chatter in our heads. Yet there is the observation that if we continue to do as we've always done, nothing in our lives is likely to change very much.
This retreat explores how we can make those changes that will bring us a more contented and carefree life, and where the key lies in starting inside ourselves, to experience a deep inner stillness and to start asking ourselves the right questions.
Please let us know in advance if you plan to come. Feel free to bring along a friend.
A light vegetarian lunch will be provided.

23/08/2013 19:00 - 20:30
A Presentation and Workshop based on the newly launched, empowering and inspiring book
LIVING OUR VALUES: an inside-out approach to changing your world for the better.

We are living in one of the most exciting and challenging times in the history of the world. Social, economic, political and ecological systems appear to be breaking down and there is much uncertainty about the future. If we want to live in a more peaceful, happy and healthy world, there needs to be a radical shift in our consciousness and a return to inner spiritual values.
Living Our Values is based on the wisdom of some of the world’s leading spiritual coaches. It:
- explores the twelve values essential for the creation of a greener, fairer and more peaceful world;
- offers practical tools for personal change and transformation; and
-
provides a comprehensive range of workshops and activities for collective change whether in the family, education system, community or at work.
It is a complete guide for changing the world from inside-out.
Our Guest Presenter is Lygia Monteiro, who is a teacher and course leader within Brahma Kumaris UK and an international speaker and workshop presenter.
Lygia is Head of Biology and Psychology in a North London School, she is also a qualified Therapeutic Counsellor specialising in the support and care of young people.
Lygia has been a student and teacher of meditation for over 20 years, and regularly runs workshops and seminars on a wide range of personal development topics. She is a lively and enthusiastic speaker.
