Patience, tolerance, and contentment

thumb

Dear Friends,

Om shanti. There are three powers that help us to perform positive actions no matter what situation we are in. The first one is patience. When we have the power of patience, we don’t get caught up easily in upheaval. Patience makes us realise what we have to do. It helps us not to react in any situation. One who never reacts is very, very sensible. Patience makes us sensible, but without ego.

The second is the power to tolerate. A mature and sensible person maintains tolerance. When there is a lack of tolerance, we won’t be able to manage what is happening around us. We won’t be able to go beyond situations. To have tolerance is also an aspect of being sensible.

The third power is contentment. When I am content I can experience deep happiness, because I am not always seeking. When someone is greedy, they never become free from their wants. A greedy person will lie, cheat and steal to get what they want. I don’t want anything.  To be able to say this is wonderful. All I want is to perform good actions.

Imbibe these three powers, and you can finish any of life’s problems. If you have these three, you will not need anything else. Whatever is happening is happening. But we can use these three powers to conquer any situation. If you imbibe these things then you will experience a life of peace and happiness, and you will be able to donate peace and happiness to others.

With love,

BK Janki
